  2. Heat the ghee in a heavy pan. Add ground makhana and roast on low heat.
  3. Roast until the makhana powder smells nutty and looks slightly golden.
  4. Add the nuts and cook for 1 minute, then switch off the heat.
  5. Cool until warm. Add the sweetener and cardamom and mix thoroughly.
  6. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and press each portion into a smooth ladoo.
