- Prepare 2 cups almonds, soaked, peeled, and ground with 1 cup milk and keep the measured liquid ready.
- Heat half the ghee in a heavy pan and add almond paste.
- Cook the almond paste on low heat until it thickens and loses its raw smell.
- Add milk and saffron, then cook until the mixture becomes thick again.
- Cook until the mixture becomes soft and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Add the sweetener, remaining ghee, and cardamom. Cook until the halwa leaves the sides of the pan.
